PRP (Platelet-rich plasma) as hair treatment

Reduce hair loss whilst stimulating the growth of new strands of hair.

What is the PRP hair treatment?

The Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) Hair Treatment is used to treat baldness. Its composition is full of growth factors that interact with each other, thus promoting the healing and regeneration of the scalp. How is it done?

First, the blood is drawn from the patient’s arm, same as in a blood test, and then it’s centrifuged for several minutes to separate the platelets from the rest of the blood cells. After that, the platelet-rich plasma, that contains the strongest concentration of growth factors, is inserted into the scalp through small injections. We explain it in further detail hereafter.

How is the PRP Hair Treatment carried out?

The PRP Hair Treatment uses the blood plasma obtained from the patient. The treatment is carried out by steps. The steps are the following:

A small amount of blood is collected from the patient;

The platelet-rich plasma is injected directly in the scalp of the areas that require treatment.

The blood is centrifuged to separate the plasma and platelets from the remaining composition;

The platelet poor plasma is used topically as scalp moisturiser.
